NBA Finals: How Strong is Jimmy Butler's Will to Win?

Every star in the NBA has a signature move. Steph Curry shoots 3's. James Harden has his step-back. Lebron has his chase-down block. Jimmy Butler has a competitive drive and will to win. If players like Paul George had Butler's drive, he would be unbelievable. It can't be taught though, and that is what makes him so valuable.

Butler led the Heat to a 111-108 win in Game 5, putting up 35 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists. He is leading Miami is all 5 major statistical categories in the Finals. They covered the 7.5 point spread and hit the over on the total that ended at 216.

For the Lakers, it is hard to lose a game when Lebron James puts up 40 points, 13 rebounds, and 7 assists. The rest of the team has to play extremely below average for them to lose.

Tonight's game brings the Lakers to dangerous territory. If Miami is able to win Game 6, anything can happen in Game 7. Lebron and Anthony Davis need to close them out tonight. The spread has moved down to (-6) from last games -7.5 for Los Angeles.

The Lakers supporting cast has received a lot of the blame for their losses throughout the playoffs. But all season the wins and losses have fallen on 2 people, Lebron James and Anthony Davis. If both of them can stay aggressive and keep Miami on their heels tonight, championship #17 should be won for their franchise.

Miami needs production from their role players. Butler is going to get his. It now falls on Bam Adebayo, Duncan Robinson, Tyler Herro, and Jae Crowder to hit their open shots and step up to the challenge.
