The NBA world exploded yesterday with the news of Rockets’ star James Harden being traded to the Brooklyn Nets. It seems that Harden, who had been asking for a trade since the start of the season, finally got what he's been looking for – a new team and a legitimate shot at an NBA title.
Brooklyn’s odds to win the 2020-21 championship were +600 on FanDuel Sportsbook as of Wednesday morning, which ranked third in the NBA behind the Lakers and Clippers. Since joining All-Stars Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving in Brooklyn, the Nets' odds jumped to +270, ranking just behind the Lakers who are favored at +260.
Their odds to win the Eastern Conference also fluctuated, moving from +275 to +135.
Below is a look at how odds have changed across a variety of categories since the blockbuster trade.
